International consolidationThe international consolidation system is the way to consolidate with companies resident abroad. This system is also optional, but it is only allowed if all foreign companies consolidate: " all in, all out" principle. Moreover, the duration of the option is longer - once international consolidation has been chosen, it cannot be terminated for five years. International consolidation requires the Italian residence only from the controlling company, while all of the other companies may be resident abroad. The companies must have identical taxable periods and their accounts must be audited. Unlike the national consolidation option, with international consolidation the taxable income is imputed to the controlling company resident in Italy only proportionally to the size of the controlling interest held by it. |
